CTK's Small Groups Purpose & Vision
|
The purpose of CTK's Small Groups is "to connect people in relationships through fellowship in Small Groups - where they develop, practice, and live out God's will for their lives."
We envision an ever-expanding network of small group leaders at CTK equipped and encouraged to lead ever-expanding Small Groups, together in harmony with our Lutheran faith and our pastoral leadership here at CTK. |

What Is A Small Group?
|
|
A Small Group is a group of people who gather primarily in homes, but may also meet in restaurants, coffee shops, the work place, a park, the church and other locations to connect with Christ and with other believers.
In these "Small Groups" you will find people who care enough about you to know more than just your name. They don't care where you've been, they only care where you want to go in Christ.
They share your concerns and support you in your spiritual walk. Its a safe place where you wont be judged, or asked to talk or pray out loud - a place where you can be yourself.

God created us for fellowship, to be in community with each other so we can encourage one another in all aspects of life, but especially our faith.
While a certain degree of fellowship is possible within the larger body of the congregation, the close, personal relationships we need cannot happen with hundreds of other people. A Small Group is the expression of the church in its most basic form.
We gather in the larger congregation to worship Christ, but we meet in small groups to know Christ and each other. As Christ The King Lutheran Church continues to grow larger, small groups will help us stay connected to each other. |

Fellowship
Everyone enjoys growing relationships with fellow believers. What better way than with a pot luck, or a backyard barbeque, or mabee just a cup of coffee and enjoy the fellowship!
Reach Out
An empty chair reminds us to reach out to others, inviting them to join us in community with each other. Group members support and encourage one another through life sharing and accountability. We put our faith into practice in acts of service for each other and reach out beyond the group.
Educate
Bibles get opened as we get to know Christ and learn to be Jesus diciples through the study of His Word.
Worship
Praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through devoted prayer. We pray with and for one another, submitting our will to God's and our needs to others - in Jesus name. |
