Our Ministry Statement
At Christ The King, we believe life is only complete when a person trusts in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and friend.  We believe disciples of Christ introduce their relatives, friends and neighbors to this Savior.  We are dedicated to discipling people in all stages of life by offering understanding, love, support, acceptance and forgiveness.

The Holy Spirit equips this body of believers to seek the lost in our community involving them in active discipleship.

All programs, events and activities at Christ The King are geared toward making people into disciples of Jesus.  We have identified five areas "marks" which we believe biblically define a disciple.  Our members strive toward...
  1. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  2. Regular Worship and Communion attendance.
  3. Regular Bible Study attendance.
  4. Discovering and using their Spiritual Gifts.
  5. Walking in or working toward a tithe.

"Good News" Information Class
This class is for those who would like to know more about the Bible and Lutheran Christians.  The 10-week course considers topics such as the Trinity, the Bible, the Sacraments, a devotional life and heaven.  People considering membership at Christ The King, who are not transferring as members in good standing from other Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod congregations, take this class as part of the membership process.  Joining the "Good News" class certainly does not obligate you to become a member at Christ The King.  The class is informal and reading out loud is voluntary.
